Really no time for the bike stuff right now. I did pick up a couple of 70 Bultaco's this morning. Basket cases with extra parts. Maybe I'll post a few pics. I have to pick up a couple of bikes tomorrow. 1975 RD 250 two strokers. Maybe I'll put up some pics of them too. Then if I have time I have a 1974 Yamaha to grab... If I have time. My

We are still trying to cleanup from the saturday nite storm we had a couple of weeks ago. I lost six trees beside my driveway (NICE! I can park more cars now!) much to my wife's dismay. More firewood to burn. I've been booked solid for tree work. A boon, I guess, for a landscaper right now. This isn't usually a super busy time for work. I still do not have my leaf loader completely in operating order but I plan on finishing it to day. I have done nothing to the bikes lately. I moved the Husqvarna chopper over last nite to make room for something else but that is the first time I've touched it in a few weeks. I contemplated getting the Moto Guzzi out for on more ride this year but since it hs sat for 4 months or so the battery was dead and I think the carbs need to be cleaned. This has been an awful year for me and riding. Just been too busy. I hope next year is better! As soon as the snow starts falling regularly I'll be back on the bike projects 'cause there will be snow on the ground covering the leaves making it impossible to work.
See you then, that is unless something comes up! The landscaping biz is just beating me up. We are now entering Fall cleanup and I've got leaves coming out my .....
I've done little to the Husky Chopper but when I have time I add a pice or two to it. Carbs are still coming in for bikes and with the warmer weather here a lot of them are locals. I still do good with mail-ins from across the country but there a some that drive hours just to see it done. I put a new video on the carb cleaning page of a disassembly and cleaning I did on a PMO carb off a porch. Hope those don't come too often. haha Anyway......... This is your new blog post. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar. The Husqvarna chopper is taking shape. I have a front wheel without brakes ready for it too. I'm thinking suicide shifter with the clutch lever mounted to the handle??? I also have the bars I'm going to use set aside. I have to modify the triple tees a good bit to make them work. They are pretty cool - Suzuki MT50 bars I pulled off of a bike that I found buried in the dirt behind an old garage when I was out picking one day. We've been soaked with rain and it has given me some time to do a few things. I'll keep the blog updated. I got the rear fender mocked up and have the exhaust mocked as well. This will have an interesting mix of parts; Honda, Moto Guzzi, Yamaha, etc. I hope to get some pics up if it ever stops raining.
Jammed some Aircell Load levelers on the truck tonite. Sweet setup. I just didn't want to deal with pumps and lines and wiring. These things got it back to normal ride height in less than an hour and it fit easily where the factory snubbers went. Can't wait to get a load of loam on there and see how it goes. Maybe I can get the leaf loader on there this week and my leaf box built. Got a sweet set of Porsche carbs to clean this weekend. German engineering is so cool. Brings back memories of the days I built and raced around VW rail buggies. There just isn't enuf time in the day. I had to help the kid (do it myself) with a class project. A 3D model of the bottom of the sea. It's been a long time since I did paper mache. I airbrushed last a couple of years ago and if you wonder why I'm posting this in a motorcycle blog it's 'cause this is a shout out to Shawn Budden. Here's a few pics Shawn.
The hardtail Husky is coming along. Threw the wheels on it last nite to see how it looks. It'll look better with street tires on it. I think it's attitude is right on tho'. I went thru all my gas tanks and can't find one that looks right. The closest I found was a tank off a 75 ATC 90 three wheeler. Anyone got any ideas give me a call. Will start banging out the seat pan so I can tool some sweet leather for it. I'll post a few pics. I've been wicked busy with life this last month. I sold 6 bikes, bought three and worked on none of mine. I got the dump kit installed, for the most part. Thanks to the help of Shawn Baillio for the extra hand and the use of his skid steer and especially John Berube, welder extraordinaire, the use of his driveway and the use of his tools and expertise. I have to say I would never want to install one again. Neither would John. If you don't have $3500.00 to buy the Stealth kit I guess the Pierce Arrow Dump Kit is the second best. Wish I'd had the $3500.00. I still have a few things to do, like relocate the pump to the rear frame so I can mount air assist bags on the the rear axle and install the remote control. I used it for a level truck load of wet grass clippings and it dumped fine. I also put a little over a yard of loam in it today and aside from the fact that it was almost on the bump stops it lifted and dumped perfectly, saving a lot of shoveling. Perfect for the landscaping biz. The Moto Guzzi project is still in the wings but I picked up another one. Check out the teaser pics at the end of the dump kit pics. I'll have some more pics of both the dump kit install and the projects. CAN YOU SAY HARDTAIL HUSQVARNA? I can't say I've been hammerin' out motorcycles or even buying any, for that matter. The Buell left early this week and all the other bikes are in storage waiting for me to get back to work on them. In a few short weeks the grass will stop growing and I'll have a break mowing till the leaves start falling. I have plans of cleaning out my little shop and insulating it for the winter and the Moto Guzzi cafe project during the break. I have about 10 engines to disassemble first tho'.
I bought a dump bed kit to go under the factory bed on my truck and I plan on putting it on this week...along with upper and lower ball joints so I don't kill the new tires I had to buy today. Anyone wanna help? haha Yeah, I did it again. I rode down to Marblehead Mass and picked up a couple of Huskys I bought sight unseen. One was supposed to be a 68 WR 250 but turned out to be a 72 CR 250. The other has yet to be determined but it has an ML frame so it has to be mid 70's. Neither run. I'll put up pics soon. I guess Husqvarna bikes are my weakness. The wife isn't saying much right now
